Opera for Mac has exhibited a change in how it authenticates the security certificate on the UTLINK web server. Once the user selects either "Students, Applicants, & Alumni" or "Faculty & Designees" the browser tries to perform this authentication and appears to simply "hang". The user needs to manually approve the site in order to proceed to the login web page. Try the following steps (which were successfully performed on Mac 10.5.6, Opera 9.64):

1. Use the Opera tab -> Preferences -> Security -> Check “Enable Fraud Protection”
2. It should prompt the pop-up and once user accepts it, the VeriSign intermediate cert authority will be added.

• Another approach is to import “VeriSign Class 3 Secure Server CA” into the Intermediate cert tab, which will require a bit of more work.
